A platform for connections between Berlin and Latin American musicians
BESARES BERLÍN
Fundación Besares carries out its work in Berlin in collaboration with ATOC soundlab, a music production, booking and cultural management platform based in Funkhaus, Berlin, which connects artists, organizes concerts and develops residencies focused on collaboration, technology and social impact.
The project fosters exchanges between Argentina and Germany, linking artistic practices, cultural contexts, and different ways of thinking about the relationship between art, territory, and society. Continuing its trajectory, the Foundation integrates musical creation with community work as its central focus.
The residencies bring together musicians from Berlin and Buenos Aires to develop collaborative creative processes and produce original works. During this time, the artists not only work on their projects but also participate in workshops, performances, and activities with local communities.
Driven by a team of musicians and cultural managers, the Buenos Aires – Berlin residencies value collective creation and cultural exchange, generating experiences that seek a concrete social impact and contribute to a more diverse and sustainable music scene.
TRICONE STUDIOS + FUNKHAUS
TRICONE STUDIOS
The project is spearheaded by a Spanish-speaking team seeking to develop and expand a small, existing community and create a dream recording space for any musician: Tricone Studios in the legendary Funkhaus. The studio has been run by Argentinians for eight years and stands out not only for its equipment and the quality of its engineers but also for its beautiful hall, formerly used as a radio broadcasting studio under the communist regime of East Germany and built by the building’s engineers in 1956 according to the most demanding acoustic guidelines.
