BESARES FOUNDATION
The Besares Foundation connects artists, communities, and projects between Argentina and Germany through music.
The Besares Foundation primarily develops its programs in Buenos Aires, where it promotes initiatives such as Disco Solidario (Solidarity Record), its flagship program.
Through this model, the foundation brings together two worlds: that of children and young people from communities with limited access to cultural opportunities, and that of artists who need support to develop their work. The foundation awards grants to artists, who in turn lead workshops in communities, fostering a direct exchange.
In this way, a virtuous cycle is created where art becomes a vehicle for social transformation and cultural development.
At the same time, the Besares Foundation promotes exchange and collaboration projects between Argentina and Germany, expanding its impact through international networks and new initiatives under development.
SOLIDARITY ALBUM
Solidarity Album is a platform which enables independent musicians to finance the recording of their album by teaching music classes in low income neighborhoods. The foundation seeks musicians with teaching experience through open calls. The selected artists then receive a scholarship to record their albums and in turn teach music at underprivileged neighbourhoods. The foundation will also connect musicians with producers, recording engineers and studios deemed appropriate for the artist’s specific project. Thus, Besares Foundation also contributes to the development of the activity of professionals in the recording industry.

REC. MY SONG
The musician teachers who teach at the school support centers propose a workshop modality whose objective is to compose a song. Throughout the workshop, the process is filmed, so that later, with this material, a video clip of the song can be created. Once the workshop is finished, the children and their teachers go to a professional recording studio to record the song they have composed.
A project of social inclusion through music with these characteristics not only gives greater visibility to the participation of the musicians and the support centers in Disco Solidario, but also brings into play a series of values and benefits for the children that are inherent to collective musical creation. This requires participation, integration, collaboration, listening to others, exchanging opinions, a socialization that involves getting in touch with play and enjoyment, giving rise to the healing capacity of music to counteract feelings of loneliness, helplessness and other traumas that are the product of deprivation and / or extreme experiences. We want to continue building bridges between worlds, between culture and social inclusion, and there is no better way to crown this wonderful experience than with a concrete fruit that synthesizes what we are looking for, a song with children as protagonists.
Besares – Berlin
Besares – Berlin is an interdisciplinary program that brings together two distinct but interconnected cultural fields.
ATOC
We connect artists and projects between Buenos Aires and Berlin so that music ceases to be merely creative and becomes a tool for real transformation. In partnership with ATOC, we foster collective processes where works are born from exchange, circulate to new territories, and return enriched, generating new ways of creating, connecting, and producing social impact.
Residencies
The Buenos Aires-Berlin residency program fosters cultural exchange and social inclusion through music. Bringing together musicians from Berlin and Buenos Aires, the project focuses on collaborative music creation and the recording of original pieces. In addition to artistic activities, the program promotes social inclusion through educational initiatives. To further enhance the residency’s impact, the project includes live performances and workshops. Led by a team of musicians and cultural managers, the Buenos Aires-Berlin residency program underscores the importance of collective music creation and cultural exchange. This project aims to facilitate meaningful cultural exchanges and generate a tangible social and cultural impact, contributing to a more sustainable music industry.
